05 / About

Hospitality deserves better instruments.

We are operators, engineers, and designers who spent years running villas and front desks in Bali before we wrote a line of Aetheria. The software that exists is loud; hospitality should be quiet. That is the whole thesis.

MANIFESTO · 01

Software should carry the voice of the house, not compete with it.

Most hospitality software was written by people who have never checked in a late arrival at 23:40 on a Sunday, never counted linen at 06:10, never been the person who tells a guest their room isn’t ready. You can feel that in every screen they ship — too many colours, too many alerts, too little care.

We design for the shift, not the demo. Every screen in Aetheria is tested against three questions. Is it legible in fluorescent back-of-house light. Can a new hire make sense of it in ten seconds. Does it stay calm when the day doesn’t.

05 / Tenets
What we stand for

Eight tenets. Not slogans.

T·01
Quiet by default
Notifications are a last resort. Aetheria prefers to arrange the world so they aren't needed.
T·02
One source of truth
If two screens disagree, we fix the schema. Never the screens. Diagnostics page reads directly from Postgres.
T·03
Every role, first class
Owners and housekeepers ship on the same sprint. No “back-office” afterthoughts; no role left on a generic dashboard.
T·04
Data is for operators
Numbers are not decoration. Every chart must answer a question someone actually asks during a shift.
T·05
Indonesia first
OSS-RBA, NPWP, e-faktur, IDR, Bahasa — built into the spine, not bolted on. SEA hospitality deserves software that speaks its language.
T·06
Accessible, always
Contrast, keyboard, screen-reader, reduced motion. Not a checklist — a posture. Bahasa parity, not Bahasa afterthought.
T·07
Trust the audit
Every action signed. Every signature searchable. No “how did this happen” at close.
T·08
Hospitality is craft
We build tools for artisans. The tool must respect the hand.

How we got here

Two years. Seven villas.

Honest stage. We're not a 171-property unicorn — we're a Bali-born OS that the SAHA Hospitality team is currently running across seven villas. The trial you start today is the same software.

Concept & research
Field interviews across Bali villas, Bangkok boutique hotels, Manila resorts. The same complaint, in three languages: software islands, manual reconciliation, no role-aware screens.

Schema first
We wrote the database schema before the UI. Bookings, properties, staff, departments, audit logs, OSS-RBA tax — one source of truth, indexed for speed.
